Celestial Glass Symphony

This selection of glass artwork is Teresa Anne’s imagination of a dreamy, distant view of the planets, where colours blend and shimmer across the vastness of space. They are available in 15cm and 25cm diameter sizes, although no two pieces are identical.

Blue Planets – Neptune and Uranus

The deep, rich blues represent the distant ice giants Neptune and Uranus. From afar, Neptune glows with a stunning sapphire hue due to methane in its atmosphere, while Uranus takes on a lighter cyan, evoking icy depths and cold, swirling clouds.

Red Planes – Mars

The bright red planes capture Mars' fiery, rust-coloured appearance from afar. Its red hue, caused by iron oxide on its surface, stands out even in the darkness of space, hinting at its rocky, cratered terrain and its ancient, weathered landscapes.

Purple Planet – Earth

Seen from a cosmic distance, Earth has a subtle, soft purple tint, with swirls of green and blue. This unique colouring comes from the scattering of light in Earth’s atmosphere, as well as the lush greens of its continents and the deep blues of its oceans. This delicate purplish hue represents the beauty and fragility of our home planet.

Green Planet – Venus

Although Venus is known for its thick, yellowish cloud cover, this green planet represents a reimagined Venus or an exoplanet—a vibrant, lush world blanketed in clouds with an aura of life and greenery. It suggests a vision of Venus as it might appear if its extreme climate were transformed into a world teeming with potential. Together, these colours create a cosmic symphony, blending reality with the artist’s vision, reminding us of the beauty and variety of worlds both known and unknown.
